Fortnite update – New skins and heroes launching TODAY, but you may NOT be able to get it

fans may miss out on some new heroes, outfits and chat emojis that are launching today alongside extra back bling and a snazzy glider.

Fortnite will be getting updated today, with new Battle Royale and Save The World content for fans of the hit PS4, Xbox One and PC game.

However, the Fortnite bonuses that Epic Games are rolling out will only be for Twitch members.

The Fortnite makers have teamed up with video game streaming giants Twitch for the first-ever Fortnite Twitch Prime Pack.

Twitch Prime subscribers will today get two exclusive outfits for Battle Royale and two exclusive heroes for Save The World.

Fortnite Battle Royale players will get the new havoc outfit, which comes complete with back bling exclusive to that skin.

They will also be able to download the new sub commander outfit and slipstream glider combo.

While Fortnite Save The World players will get the Havoc and Sub Commando Jonesy heroes.

The update will also bring with it four exclusive Fortnite-themed Twitch chat emojis.

The Fortnite loot will be free to Twitch Prime members, with details on how subscribers can claim their rewards outlined in this post.

Fortnite isn’t the only game where fans can get exclusive loot via Twitch Prime.

Last August, Blizzard revealed that Overwatch fans would get extra loot boxes if they were Twitch Prime members.

While Call of Duty WW2 players can also get extra supply drops if they’re a Twitch Prime Member.

The Fortnite Twitch bonus comes as fans have been waiting for the new Jetpack item to launch.

Earlier this week, Fortnite fans logging into Battle Royale would have noticed that a new Jetpack item was being teased for season 3.

Not much else was known about it, apart from the item’s design and that it will let players “take the fight to all new heights”.

However, Fortnite fans have today been told that the launch of the Jetpack has been delayed.

It looks like the item was set to arrive in this week’s Fortnite update, but instead the Hunting Rifle will be launched.

Epic Games said the Jetpack launch has been delayed because of a “last minute design issue”.

In a post on Reddit, the Fortnite team said: “This week’s new item is being changed from the Jetpack to the Hunting Rifle.

“We found a last minute design issue with the Jetpack that’s going to delay its launch and we’re working on correcting it.

“The Jetpack will lift off at a later time.

“Meanwhile, you’ll be able to enjoy lots of no-scopes with the new Hunting Rifle item and a new, lucky point of interest on the map.”
