BlackBerry could be about to nab this Samsung Galaxy S9 and iPhone X feature

The next smartphone from BlackBerry will sport an all-screen design, the latest rumours have suggested.

According to serial tipster Evan Blass, who has an unrivalled track record when it comes to publishing details about upcoming hardware, the company is hard at work on a new flagship.

Codenamed Ghost, the new handset will sport an edge-to-edge screen design, similar to those on the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Apple iPhone X.

Blass claims the flagship smartphone will be built by BlackBerry brand licensee Optiemus, an Indian telecommunications firm.

The company has acquired the rights to create and distribute BlackBerry branded handsets in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal.

In every other world market, Chinese multi-national company TCL handles the design, manufacture and distribution of BlackBerry hardware under the brand name BlackBerry Mobile.

TCL was the company behind the BlackBerry KEYone, which launched in 2017.

Leakster Evan Blass claims the BlackBerry Ghost will be coming to India in the coming weeks.

However, it’s unclear whether the smartphone will ever make it to the UK.
