Kingdom Come Deliverance news: Warhorse posts official mod support update

Kingdom Come Deliverance fans will be pleased to hear that official mod support is being prioritised by Warhorse.

Mods have already been created for Kingdom Come Deliverance, but without official support, there’s no guarantee they’ll work with future updates.

Fortunately, however, in a new post on Twitter, Kingdom Come director Daniel Vavra has given fans a sneak peek at the studio’s update schedule.

“At meeting about the status of upcoming patch,” Vavra tweeted. “These arr [sic] critical issues only. Much more is already fixed.”

According to the accompanying image, the studio is working on loading times for dialogue, framerate oscillation and official mod support.

Kingdom Come Deliverance has received multiple updates since launch, as Warhorse continues to optimise the game and fix bugs.

Warhorse has also been working on issues like save and exit functionality, lockpicking and quest related fixes.

Unfortunately, however, patches aren’t able to launch on all platforms at the same time.

“There is a certification phase in which platform holders check whether the patch is stable,” Warhorse explains.

“This process takes various amounts of time on different platforms. This is the reason why the patches are released at different times.

“However, they check not only stability but also platform-specific requirements, for example, whether the controllers are named correctly, whether you can change user mid-gameplay etc.

“If we fail any of these platform-specific requirements, we have to upload a correction just for that specific platform. This is the reason why we are releasing a different number of patches on each platform.”

Kingdom Come Deliverance is out now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The epic role-playing game takes place in medieval Bohemia, where players take on the role of Henry, son of a blacksmith.

“Thrust into a raging civil war, you watch helplessly as invaders storm your village and slaughter your friends and family,” reads the official description. “Narrowly escaping the brutal attack, you grab your sword to fight back.”

What follows is a non-linear tale of revenge set against the backdrop of a stunning open world that is shaped by your choices.

Players can also expect realistic combat, a deep RPG progression system and one or two historical figures to make an appearance.

The game has so far divided critics, earning mixed scores.
