Avengers Infinity War: ‘Women rule supreme in Marvel’s future’ claims Thor Ragnarok star

After Avengers 4 is released next year, Phase 3 will come to an end and apart from Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy sequels, not much else is confirmed for Phase 4.

Much of the last decade of MCU movies has focused on white male superheroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and Star-Lord.

However with the success of Black Panther and the upcoming Captain Marvel (the first black and female superhero led movies in the franchise), it looks like the studio seeking to expand its diversity.

Now Thompson, who played Valkyrie in Thor Ragnarok, has claimed that “women rule supreme” in Marvel Phase 4, especially now a Black Widow movie is in the works.

Speaking with IGN, she said: “I think Kevin Feige is really excited by the idea.”

Tessa Thompson is set to return as Valkyrie in Avengers Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018.
