Ivanka Trump landed in Incheon, South Korea on Friday where the South Korean president Moon Jae-in greeted her in person.
And she led the US delegation at the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics, which took place today. Ivanka’s arrival was covered live on South Korean TV and she was praised by her father.
US President Donald Trump tweeted on Friday: “We cannot have a better, or smarter, person representing our country.”
Ivanka’s visit included a banquet at the South Korean president’s official residence in Seoul where she was given red embroidered slippers upon entering the house.
But Ivanka has no plans to meet North Korean officials during the visit as relations sour between Pyongyang and Washington.
