FIFA 18 Upgrades: New Winter Ratings Refresh going live TODAY for FUT fans

While we don’t which league it will be, EA Sports have promised that more players would see a boost today.

The next FIFA 18 Upgrades will be released today, coming from the Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga or for the Rest of the World.

EA Sports haven’t revealed which League it will be, but it’s likely that the new Winter Ratings Refresh will drop very soon.

Looking to how things have been handled in the past, it seems likely that the new FIFA 18 upgrades will be revealed at around 6pm, GMT.

There’s a chance that EA Sports will drop a few announcements ahead of time, revealing a few players before the big announcement.

As fans will likely already know, the FIFA 18 Winter Upgrades permanently alter the stats of certain players.

High performing players will get a stats boost, while underperforming players will be downgraded.

Only new basic player items found in packs will have updated ratings, but certain existing in-form items will have their ratings automatically updated to reflect the Ratings Refresh.

Friday saw the official Premier League Upgrades announced and launched on FIFA 18 FUT.

These new changes can be found in packs and include upgrades for the likes of Harry Kane, Roberto Firmino, Eden Hazard and David De Gea.

You can check out the confirmed FIFA 18 ratings that have been refreshed in our gallery above.

The Premier League saw around 60 players get an upgrade of sorts in the Ratings Refresh, so there’s plenty of room for others to make their mark.

There will also be FIFA 18 downgrades put in place, although it’s unclear just who might be chosen to head that list.

There were over 13 downgrades made in the Premier League in FIFA 17, while other changes were also made based on clashes with other kinds of cards.

Also as part of the FIFA 18 Ultimate Team Ratings Refresh, certain player items received upgrades to their weak foot and/or skill move ratings based on the players’ real-world form this season.

These upgrades apply to all existing and new FUT player items and will likely be made to other leagues as well.
