Lewis Hamilton hints at move away from Mercedes! F1 champion spotted with unfamiliar face

Hamilton is the reigning F1 world champion, winning his fourth title in 2017 by beating Sebastian Vettel, and will later today help unveil the new challenger for the coming season.

Crutchlow meanwhile is Britain’s leading racer on two wheels, having finished ninth last year in the MotoGP World Championship and won two races back in 2016.

And the pair formed an all-British biking duo in California earlier this month, taking to the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway where Hamilton took a Kawasaki ZX-10R for a spin.

“Cal invited me down for a day at the track,” said Hamilton, who shares a sponsor, Monster Energy, with Crutchlow.

“What’s [Cal] does is more hardcore than F1.

“The speeds these guys do, it’s insane.

“I’ll be back here pushing.

“The back end has been sliding out.

“Now I’m hooked.”

The F1 world champion also hinted he could end up taking on a two-wheeled championship full-time.

Hamilton wrote, captioning the video with Cructhlow on Twitter: “Is MotoGP ready for me? Had an amazing track day with Cal Crutchlow.”

Last year, Hamilton helped MV Augusta design a special edition of their F4 superbike.

The LH44, named after Hamilton’s race number, was produced just 44 times and each one was valued at around £40,000.
