The recent encounters have been even worse, with England having won the last nine of the last 10 matches with one draw.

Last year, Scotland were optimistic of snapping that streak, only to be humiliated 61-21 in a mauling at Twickenham.

It is the last game of the weekend – France and Italy play on Friday night before Ireland vs Wales earlier on Saturday afternoon – and kicks off at 4.45pm at Murrayfield.

The Six Nations coverage for 2018 has been split between ITV and the BBC once again.

ITV will show all of England’s home games as well as four others while the BBC will retain all of the other eight matches including England’s trip to Paris.

BBC One has Scotland vs England, with coverage presented by John Inverdale starting at 4pm.
