Messi: Barcelona star talked with Eden Hazard about Real Madrid move after Chelsea draw

Messi scored as Barcelona avoided defeat on their trip to the capital, with the 30-year-old cancelling out Willian’s opening goal for Chelsea.

The Catalan giants were second best throughout with the Blues regularly threatening through Willian and Hazard.

Hazard did his reputation no harm with a lively display amid talk he could be set to swap Chelsea for Real Madrid come the end of the season.

And Spanish website Diario Gol claim the Belgium international talked with Lionel Messi after the game.

Many expect Hazard to be at Real next season.

Los Blancos are primed to overhaul their squad with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema all possibly in line for the chop.

Hazard would fit the bill as a replacement with the player blossoming for Chelsea ever since his arrival from Lille back in 2012.

But Diario Gol say he told Messi that, though he is keen to join Real, it is only because he knows Barcelona will not be pursuing his signature.

Ernesto Valverde’s side have enough options in attack.

Messi shone against Chelsea last night with Luis Suarez experiencing a rare off-night on his return to England.

Barcelona also have Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Paulinho and Paco Alcacer to call upon.

And Hazard supposedly thinks he would have a better chance of starring at Real.

He is also fully aware that, with Messi still spearheading Barcelona’s push for silverware, there is no way he would rule the roost in Catalonia.
