North Korea LASHES OUT at Donald Trump AGAIN, over post-Winter Olympics plans with South

North Korea’s main newspaper, The Rodong Sinmun, declared that Washington will be to blame for any detriment to the recent rapprochement between both North and South Korea.

In addition, the state-run newspaper claimed Donald Trump’s administration is guilty of conducting war rehearsals.

The newspaper said: “The US has a purpose to end a thaw in inter-Korean ties immediately after the Olympic flame goes out.

“The US is making noise to resume its military exercises with Seoul right after the Games’ closing.

“Risks of tensions are growing on the Korean Peninsula.

“Washington’s strategic assets and massive troops are coming to the peninsula and its adjacent areas.”

Military drills between the US and South Korea that are scheduled to take place have been postponed until after the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to attack North Korea and deliver “fire and fury” if Kim Jong-un threatens the US or its allies.

The warning from the North Korean newspaper comes as the hermit kingdom and South Korea appear to have improved during the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

The hermit kingdom has come out of its shell to participate in the games, which have included high profile visits from the Supreme Leader’s sister Kim Yo-jong and the North Korean cheerleading squad.

An inter-Korean hockey team also walked under a unified flag at the games in what was an iconic display.

During the games, the South’s leader Moon Jae-in even welcomed an invitation to talks in Pyongyang, offered by Kim Jong-un himself.

Baik Tae-hyun, a spokesman at Seoul’s unification ministry, told a press briefing: “The government is making multifaceted efforts to restore inter-Korean relations, resolve North Korea’s nuclear issue and bring peace to the Korean Peninsula.”

He also said that nothing has been decided on the issue of whether South Korea will send a special envoy to the North.
