He’ll likely be in Ernesto Valverde’s squad for Tuesday night’s Champions League showdown with Chelsea.
Gomes has come in for criticism during his time at Barcelona though amid accusations he does not suit their style of play.
And the latest reports from Spain suggest he could be on his way out in the summer if Messi gets his way.
According to Diario Gol, Gomes and Denis Suarez are in danger of being axed following the arrival of Philippe Coutinho.
But it’s Gomes that’s closer to the exit door because Messi is his ‘worst enemy’.

And, with no deal forthcoming, the situation has worsened to the point that Messi has told friends: “he cannot even see him”.
Messi’s fury apparently intensified when Gomes told international team-mates of his influence at Barcelona.
And among those players was Messi’s Ballon d’Or and La Liga rival Cristiano Ronaldo.
Barcelona, meanwhile, are said to be tired of giving Gomes opportunities, particularly after his recent performance against Valencia.
