Pokemon Go update removes THIS killer feature during Valentine’s Day event

developer Niantic has removed a big new feature as part of the latest round of updates.

The Pokemon Go Valentine’s Day event launched alongside version 0.91.2 for Android and 1.61.2 for iOS.

According to official Niantic patch notes, the update makes a number of bug fixes for Pokemon Go.

“Trainers, Pokémon GO is being updated to version 0.91.2 for Android and 1.61.2 for iOS to implement bug fixes,” reads the official tweet.

However, after delving a little deeper, hardcore fans have discovered one or two secrets.

Most notably, Niantic appears to have removed all mention of the new quest feature, which was expected to introduce single-player content.

As Pokemon Go Hub points out, Niantic may have withdrawn quests while it continues to work them.

Either way, it could be a long time before we see quests in Pokemon Go.

Fortunately, Pokemon Go players can keep themselves busy by participating in the .

As part of the event, Pokemon Go Trainers will have a better chance of catching Luvdiscs, which will award triple Stardust.

“Happy Valentines, Trainers! Until February 15, schools of Luvdisc will be out swimming and awarding 3x Stardust for each one caught.”

Reports have also confirmed that players can capture Shiny Luvdisc.

Luvdisc is the third Pokemon to get a Shiny in the past week, after Swablu and Altaria also joined the game.

Unfortunately, however, players will need to do some serious grinding, because Altaria isn’t available in the wild.

Instead, players will need to earn 400 Swablu candies in order to unlock this ultra-rare Pokemon.

Swablu, Altaria and Luvdisc join an increasingly long list of Shiny Pokemon that started with Magikarp and Gyarados.

Other Shiny Pokemon include Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu, Shuppet, Banette, Snorunt, Glalie, Sableye, Duskull, and Dusclops.
