Chelsea EXCLUSIVE: Swansea star Abraham says Arsenal were easier to beat than Liverpool

Swansea have renewed hope of staying in the Premier League, with Abraham helping them climb out of the relegation zone.

Saturday’s 1-0 win over Burnley at the Liberty Stadium means Carlos Carvalhal’s side now sit 15th in the league table, two points clear of the bottom three.

Abraham was absent through injury as Swansea stunned Liverpool 1-0 last month, but watched from the bench as his team-mates put Arsenal to the sword in a 3-1 win.

And the Chelsea loanee has admitted that beating the Gunners was easier than Jurgen Klopp’s side.

“The Liverpool game was harder for us,” he said.

“I was obviously at both games, the one against them I was injured for but I was fit for the Arsenal one.

“The boys dug in well and got the three points and that sets us in good stead for the rest of the season.”

Swansea’s transformation since Carvalhal took over is nothing short of staggering.

They have won three out of their last six games, putting them above both Liverpool and Arsenal in the form table.

And Abraham thinks they can beat the drop.

“It definitely proves we can stay up,” he said.

“We’ve got a good team, we need to be on the ball and show we can do it every week.

“Now we’re ready to fight for our lives and give everything.”
