Pokemon Go Mewtwo Ex Raid UPDATE: Niantic secretly makes HUGE changes to invites

developer Niantic appears to have changed its Mewtwo Ex Raid policy.

The news comes as Pokemon Go gets a new update on iOS and Android.

The update takes the game to version 0.91.1 on Android and 1.61.1 on iOS. As part of the update, Niantic has improved the in-game news feature and added a new search function for finding Shinies.

“Pokemon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.91.1 for Android and 1.61.1 for iOS devices,” reads a Niantic blog post.

The patch notes in full:

  • Improved the in-game News feature.
  • The Pokemon Collection search function now lets Trainers search using “Shiny.”
  • Various bug fixes and performance updates

Dataminers have also discovered evidence of a new Quest feature that will transform the way fans play.

According to The Silph Road, Niantic will release a new multi-quest system, complete with a greater emphasis on supporting characters and story.

“We’re looking at the beginnings of an in-game quest system that appears to encapsulate all of the mechanics available in Pokemon GO, even incorporates characters who grant them, and pre-conditions that suggest increasing levels of difficulty and progress,” the post reads.
