Grenada: Top 10 facts about the Caribbean island country

1. The country of Grenada comprises seven islands of which the largest is also called Grenada.

2. When Christopher Columbus sighted Grenada in 1498, he called the island La ConcepciĆ³n in honour of the Virgin Mary.
