PUBG news: HUGE new Battlegrounds update DELAYED, as Xbox One gets AMAZING bundle

PUBG fans will be disappointed to hear that a big new update has been delayed.

The new Battlegrounds update was supposed to introduce a host of anti-cheat measures on PC.

Bluehole told Twitter followers that there was an unexpected issue during testing, and there’s no word on when the update will go live.

“PC players, the patch for the anti-cheat update has been delayed, as an unexpected issue has occurred while testing its compatibility,” reads a Bluehole tweet. “We will soon update you when it will be released. Thank you for your understanding.”

Bluehole would elaborate on the delay in a new blog post, explaining that the current version has permanently blocked ReShade.

Anybody using ReShade will need to uninstall the program and potentially re-install the game.

“As announced, the new anti-cheat solution that was to be applied today has been delayed,” Bluehole continues.

“However, BattlEye, a part of our anti-cheat solution, has blocked ReShade. For you to run the game, you must uninstall ReShade. If the game files are already damaged, you must also reinstall the game.

“ReShade not only behaves like a cheat program but can also be used for cheating, and must therefore be blocked. Please be advised that this is a permanent block.”

The news comes as Microsoft announces a brand new Xbox One S PUBG bundle.

Available from February 20, the Battlegrounds bundle contains a PUBG download code and a 1TB Xbox One S.

Customers will also receive a one month Xbox Games Pass trial, which will soon provide access to first-party Xbox exclusives like Sea of Thieves.

That’s on top of a 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial, which lets you play online multiplayer games like PUBG.

You can pick up the PUBG bundle for £249.99. Pre-orders are available now.
