Meghan Markle to be played by THIS actress in movie about Prince Harry romance

Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance is out this spring in time for the royal wedding, and Parisa Fitz-Henley is set to star as Markle.

Her credits include Reva Connors in the Marvel shows Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, alongside roles in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and The Jane Austen Book Club.

She’s also had small roles in Blue Bloods, House of Cards and Grey’s Anatomy – the latter of which she reprised in Private Practice.

Playing Prince Harry, meanwhile, is Murray Fraser.

Fraser has significantly fewer credits than his co-star, but they’re good ones: he had a recurring role in The Loch as PC Jason Denny, and he also popped up in an episode of Victoria last year.

Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance will bypass cinemas altogether and head straight to the small screen; following Lifetime’s previous efforts with William and Kate: The Movie.

According to Entertainment Weekly, production of the movie will begin this week in Vancouver and LA.

The official synopsis promises that the film will “examine the history of Prince Harry (Fraser) and Meghan Markle (Fitz-Henley) from the moment they met after being set up by friends, through their initial courtship when they were able to keep their romance under wraps, and ultimately the intense global media attention surrounding their relationship and Meghan’s life as a divorced American actress”.

Menhaj Huda, who helmed an episode of The Royals, is directing.

It’s safe to say that expectations of a high-quality blockbuster would a little misplaced, but the film is certainly sure to generate plenty of attention when it premieres.

Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance is out later this year.
