Nintendo Switch games SHOCK – Could this PS4 exclusive be heading to the hybrid console?

has been out for less than a year but has already built up an enviable games library – and soon could be poaching a PS4 hit.

The Nintendo Switch is approaching its first birthday, and the latest console from the Japanese gaming giant has enjoyed an incredible start.

Last year the Nintendo Switch was home to the two best reviewed games of 2017, Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The Nintendo Switch has also been pulling in hugely impressive sales figures, with the console selling a staggering 14.86million in its first 10 months.

The impressive sales figures will surely have caught the eyes of PS4 and Xbox One bosses as the console wars rages on.

And it looks like Nintendo could have secured quite a coup, with a PS4 exclusive potentially heading to the Switch.

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, which was revealed to much fanfare at E3 2017, could be heading to the Nintendo Switch.

Crash Bandicoot made his name on the PlayStation One, and the HD revival of the original games was hugely popular on the PS4 last year.

Soon after its release, many stores suffered from stock shortages as fans rushed to get the marsupial’s retro revival.

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy even ended up being Amazon UK’s best selling game in 2017 – beating heavyweights like FIFA 18, Destiny 2 and Call of Duty WW2.

And now a European licensing manual has been published which brings with it big news for Crash Bandicoot fans.

It says a new entry in the Crash Bandicoot franchise is in development and is due for a 2019 release.

It also says a port of the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy is in the works for the Nintendo Switch and PCs, and is due sometime this year, Polygon reported.

The arrival of Crash Bandicoot on the Switch will be a huge boost to Nintendo in their battle to win this generation’s console wars.

Nintendo have high hopes for the Switch, with the Japanese gaming giant recently saying they are hoping to sell 37million Switch consoles within its first two years.

Nintendo are also hoping the Switch manages to eventually match the sales of the Wii (101.63 million), its best selling home console ever.

Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima said: “The truth is we want to raise the installed base of Nintendo Switch up to the same level as Wii.”

And there is one big thing that Nintendo is planning which could ensure it wins the console wars this time round.

Kimishima-san recently revealed that Nintendo are planning on supporting the Switch way past their traditional console lifecycle of five to six years.

While this means a new Nintendo home console is a long way off, it does mean the Switch will be on the shelves and getting new games for many more years.

Kimishima-san even went as far as saying Nintendo could support the Switch from anywhere between seven to 10 years.

That will give Nintendo plenty of time to ensure the Switch hits the same amount of sales as the Wii.
