Red Dead Redemption 2 release date NEWS and new GTA 5 Online update

Fans have been shocked by the news that the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date has been pushed back yet again.

It’s the second time Rockstar Games have been forced to do it, meaning a full year of extra waiting.

To say RDR2 is going to be a big launch would be an understatement, with many fans expecting it to take over from GTA 5 Online.

There have been plenty of indications from Rockstar themselves that online gameplay will be a big feature for RDR2.

Unfortunately, the latest update doesn’t contain much in the way of new information on how the new multiplayer mode will work.

What Rockstar did include in their latest statement is an apology for the delay, explaining that the game needed more polish.

“We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018,” reads a Rockstar blog post.

“We apologise to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.”

Rockstar also released a selection of new screenshots, before hinting at the appearance of a new trailer.

“We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it,” Rockstar continues.

“In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.”

Fans are hoping that might mean a new trailer being shown very soon, although there’s no guarantee when it might drop.

While it would make sense for a company to show off their latest trailer during a big event, Rockstar are known for doing things their own way.

An underwhelming Twitter post will likely be all they need to get the game trending, along with whatever new content they have on show.

A new GTA 5 Online update has been released on PS4, Xbox One and PC this week.

A new Adversary Mode, Sports Car and an array of Discounts & Bonuses are the highlights from the latest launch.

Fans are still enjoying the content released from the big Doomsday Heist update, and now even more has been revealed.

The new Adversary Mode is called Hardest Target and is available for 4-16 players.

Hardest Target pits two teams against each other with a single objective: destroy the other team’s Target and protect your own. The designated target switches every minute, so it pays to be ready when it’s your turn in the crosshairs.

Additionally, Target-on-Target kills will yield bonus points, and the mode will deliver double GTA$ & RP until February 5th. there’s also a new ride available to purchase from Legendary Motorsport, which will cost a fair amount of GTA 5 Online money.

The Neon is the latest electric Sports Car from Pfister and costs a whopping $1.5 million in in-game cash. That’s enough to grab your own Facility, although you wouldn’t have enough left over for an Orbital Cannon.
