Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane said he was “disgusted” after Giampaolo Pazzini earned Levante a point with just a minute left.
And his star player Ronaldo was far from happy either.
Ronaldo was subbed off by Zidane with eight minutes left and TV cameras panned to the Portuguese on the bench after Pazzini struck late.
A steely-eyed Ronaldo was seen to be pursing his lips before shaking his head after the late goal. He had earlier begrudgingly made his way off the pitch after Zidane opted to sub him.
The draw left Real fourth in La Liga, 18 points behind leaders Barcelona, who play Espanyol on Sunday.
After the game Zidane insisted Ronaldo was NOT withdrawn so he could rest ahead of their upcoming clash with PSG.
Zidane was quizzed on whether the Ronaldo substitution was tactical and why his side threw away two points.
“It was planned to change him, and that’s all,” Zidane told beIN SPORTS after the match.
“We had the game under control, the most difficult is to score goals.
“We got to 2-1, but in the end, two mistakes cost us the two goals.
“This year is being difficult for us. We cannot put three or four results together. I am not happy with the result.
“We were in control of the game, above all the first half, so not happy, of course.
“The pity is that after we scored our second goal, we were not able to keep hold of the ball, and defensively we were not good.”
