Kate Middleton looks ethereal in Norway – and wears the Queen’s wedding gift from Philip

Kate Middleton, 36, arrived for a dinner at the Royal Palace in Oslo, Norway, tonight with Prince William, 36, looking ethereal in pale pink.

The dress, which covered the pregnant Duchess’s wedding dress, had a sheer cape. Kate opted for a blush pink floor-length gown from British fashion house Alexander McQueen, headed up by Sarah Burton.

The dress also featured silver embellishment on the shoulders.

The custom-made dress is not available to buy, but dresses cost in the region of £2,500 from the UK brand.

Kate also wore the Queen’s wedding gift bracelet from Prince Philip, along with the matching earrings created by the romantic 96-year-old when he married the Queen, 91.

Kate wore the bracelet at her first state banquet of Chinese president Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan in October 2015.

The Queen most recently wore the piece to pose for her Diamond Jubilee photograph.

Queen Elizabeth II had her wedding to Prince Philip in November 1947. In honour of the day, the former Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten bought Her Majesty a bracelet as a gift.

The large diamond bracelet was a fitting wedding gift for a member of the royal family, as it was made from the same diamonds as the Queen’s engagement ring.

These sparkling gems were taken from a tiara owned by Prince Philip’s mother, Princess Alice of Battenberg.

A statement piece, the large bracelet harks back to the art deco era of design.

It was set in platinum, much like Her Majesty’s engagement ring, and made by the same London jeweller Philip Antrobus.

The Queen’s engagement ring was a three carat diamond solitare with five smaller diamonds on either side.

According to reports, the Prince-to-be took a hands-on role in the designs, specifying exactly what he wanted for his bride.
