Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo learns of Manchester United transfer bombshell

Manchester United goalkeeper De Gea is on Real Madrid’s transfer wishlist for the summer with his contract at Old Trafford winding down.

The Spain international’s current deal expires in 2019 meaning, as things stand, the club have just a year to tie him down to an extension to prevent him negotiating with other clubs.

De Gea nearly left United for Real Madrid back in the summer of 2015, but the Red Devils’ failure to file the correct paperwork on time saw the deal collapse.

And Spanish website Don Balon say Ronaldo has learned that De Gea is primed to make the move to the Bernabeu at the end of the season.

It is said the shotstopper has agreed ‘everything’ with the La Liga giants.

He has supposedly told them he will try and force a United exit if Jose Mourinho refuses to sell him straight away.

Don Balon say, however, United will need some convincing to give up their star performer.

They are reportedly hellbent on keeping De Gea, who has been at the club since signing from Atletico Madrid back in the summer of 2011.

United may supposedly be open to a sale if Real include a player in the operation.

And, though no names are mentioned, it could be one of three players.

United have been heavily tipped to land Gareth Bale who, despite snubbing a move to the club twice in the past, could finally join at the end of the season.

Mateo Kovacic and Raphael Varane are also players Mourinho is said to admire.

But whether the 54-year-old lands any of the trio as part of a De Gea transfer remains to be seen.
