PS Plus February 2018 countdown: When free PS4 PlayStation Plus games will be revealed

PlayStation Plus subscribers are counting down to the February 2018 free  games reveal.

Sony will officially announce the free PS Plus games lineup on Wednesday, January 31.

The PlayStation Plus free games announcement typically goes live at around 4.30pm, so stay tuned for more information.

This will be followed by a PlayStation Plus release date of Tuesday, February 6.

Fans believed the free games had been leaked last week, when a poster featuring Far Cry 4 and Dark Souls 2: Scholars of the First Sin appeared on Reddit.

While this turned out to be a hoax, Far Cry 4 would later be made available to new PlayStation Plus subscribers.

PS4 owners who sign up to a 12 month PS Plus subscription will receive Far Cry 4 for free. The offer is available until February 12 and costs £49.99.

The only catch is that you can’t already have an active PS Plus subscription at the time of signing up for the deal.

“Buy a 12 month subscription to PlayStation Plus and receive a free digital copy of Far Cry 4 – Standard Edition,” reads a Sony post.

“Offer open from 29 January 10:00 GMT to 12 February 10:00 GMT and is only available to PSN accounts which do not have an active PS Plus membership at the time the offer is purchased.”

PlayStation Plus members can currently download Batman: The Telltale Series and Deus Ex Mankind Divided on PS4.

That’s You remains a bonus title, while StarBlood Arena has been added as a PS VR bonus game.
