Aubameyang fee agreed

06.10: Arsenal have agreed a club-record £55million deal to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.

The Gunners have been chasing the Gabon international all month after Alexis Sanchez left to join Manchester United.

Arsenal had two bids initially turned down believed to be in the region of £50m.

However, it now appears they have agreed terms with the Bundesliga outfit for a fee of €63m (£55m).

That is according to German publication Kicker.

It is also reported that Olivier Giroud will not be moving in the opposite direction as he prefers a transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea want three strikers

05.30: Antonio Conte has piled more pressure on the Chelsea board by insisting he needs three strikers to stand any chance of winning something this season.

He said: “When you play Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup, three strikers is the minimum.

“If we are able to take another player, it doesn’t mean Michy has to go on loan.

“We only have two strikers, Alvaro Morata and Batshuayi, and Morata is out injured.”

Ibrahimovic to LA Galaxy

05.00: Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is closing in on a shock move to LA Galaxy, according to reports.

United captured Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal last week which now pushes the 36-year-old further down the pecking order.

ESPN are reporting that a number of sources have told them MLS outfit LA Galaxy are close to agreeing a deal with the forward.

It is suggested that the former Barcelona striker nearly completed a move to America last year but for his damaging injury.

ESPN add that the move is “the furthest along is has ever been.”
