Xbox Live Gold subscribers get a few perks each month that can make having one more worthwhile.
While we already know all about the new Xbox Games With Gold selection launching in February, fans may not know about another top bonus.
A popular title is currently available to try out by anyone who has a Gold subscription, which also offers the chance of putting the Xbox One X through its paces.
That’s because Fallout 4 is a 4K compatible enhanced game that can be played for free right now.
Fallout 4 is currently having its second-ever free weekend exclusive to Xbox Live Gold members, which started at 12:01 a.m. PST on Thursday, January 25.
And time is running out to try Bethesda’s sprawling action RPG, which set to end as a Free Xbox One games on 11:59 p.m. PST on Sunday, January 28.
It should be noted that this may differ for the UK, who are 8 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time.
“In addition to the free weekend, you can take advantage of some great discounts on all versions of Fallout 4,” a message from Microsoft adds.
“Pick up the standard edition of Fallout 4 for 33% off, Fallout 4 G.O.T.Y. for 40% off, and Fallout 4 Season Pass for 50% off.
“You can also pick up the individual DLCs for 40% off all for a limited time! And should you decide to return to the Commonwealth at a later date, all your Xbox Live achievements and progress made during the free weekend will be saved.
As mentioned above, more Games with Gold titles will be released next week, bringing another selection of free games to Gold subscribers.
The February 2018 line-up is headlined by Shadow Warrior and Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India on the Xbox One.
The free games for Xbox 360 are Crazy Taxi and Split / Second, which will also be playable on Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility.
Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, revealed the Games with Gold February 2018 line-up on Twitter and on his blog.
He tweeted: “February’s #GamesWithGold starts the month off with Shadow Warrior and Split/Second – free for Xbox Live Gold members”.
In a blog post Major Nelson added: “For the month of February, Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games – two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360 – as part of the Games with Gold program.
“You can play both Xbox 360 titles on your Xbox One with Backward Compatibility.
“On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Shadow Warrior for free during the month of February.
“Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India will be available as a free download from February 16th to March 15th.
“On Xbox 360, starting February 1st, Split/Second will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through February 15th.
“Then on February 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Crazy Taxi ($9.99 ERP) for free through February 28th.”
The Games with Gold Ferbruary 2018 lineup will go live on the first day of the month, although not all titles will be available from the start.
