Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins shares her beauty tips

Which beauty products do you swear by?

Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm. After you’ve applied it, you run a cloth under the hot water to take it off with.

On Good Morning Britain I wear a lot of make-up and it’s important to cleanse your skin well at the end of each day. In the mornings I use Dermologica Special Cleansing Gel.

What are your essential cosmetics?

Elizabeth Arden Double Wear Stay In Place Foundation – it lasts all day.

I always have my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick with me, a Benefit Stay Don’t Stray primer and Eyeko Sports Waterproof Mascara. And Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream.

You’ve started presenting on Classic FM. Will that mean a break from the make-up?

Sadly, no. These days radio is on webcams and there are social media photos, so you can’t hide behind the microphone any more.

I was thrilled to be brought into the team on Classic FM, though, especially as I listen to it all the time.

My dad loved classical music and always had it blaring out when he was doing the washing up – it was the soundtrack to my childhood.

How do you stay in shape?

Since doing Strictly I have been my fittest ever, and I really wanted to keep that up, so I’ve been going to the gym at least once a week and running 5k.

I have weights at home and my daughter Ella Rose has got little pretend baby weights, so she can join in.

We do baby yoga, too.

Do you have a favourite designer or high street shop?

My favourite designer is Suzanne Neville. On the high street I head for shops like Ted Baker, Coast, L.K. Bennett and Zara.

Who are your style icons?

I love the 1950s and ’60s glamour of Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Onassis and Audrey Hepburn.
