Dana White has planned for life without Conor McGregor
UFC president Dana White has revealed he made plans for Conor McGregor to retire from mixed martial arts before the Irishman’s boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr.
“In any sport; be it the NBA, NFL, hockey or whatever, no one guy can hold the whole sport hostage,” White said during an appearance on The Toucher and Rich Show. “That just doesn’t happen.
“When Conor was getting ready for the Mayweather fight, I was already making plans for Conor to never come back. The company and business goes on. There will be other stars.
“The NBA didn’t pack it up when Jordan left and they won’t when LeBron leaves either.”

Kelvin Gastelum angry at title shot snub
Ultimate Fighter season 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum has revealed he was disappointed to have been overlooked for a shot at the UFC interim middleweight title.
“It does bother me a little bit that I haven’t even been considered for a shot, but it is what it is,” Gastelum said.
“I know this is a process, and I’m just dealing with the process.”
