The star has long been known to be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel, the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4.
What had been a little more under lock and key was what exactly her alias Pepper Potts would be getting up to.
Will we see her wielding her own powers once again? She appeared to confirm to Stephen Colbert on US TV last night that yes, she would.
Asked about Pepper’s abilities, she said coyly: “You know, to be totally honest, I’m unclear.
“It’s so secretive and it’s all on green screen and I’m not exactly sure. They don’t let me say anything!”
When Colbert found a more imaginative way to ask if she’ll be using power, she exclaimed: “Yes!”
“Then you still have powers,” Colbert deduced. “It’s official.”
Paltrow is one of a huge number of Marvel favourites returning for the ensemble blockbusters.
She made a very low-key comeback last year in a small cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man, with whom she most often appears, is one of several MCU heroes rumoured to be meeting a sticky end across the two movies.
Avengers: Infinity War is out on April 27 in the US.
