Yesterday saw huge buzz on social media as a new look at Avengers Infinity War was rumoured to be dropping soon.
Eventually a video was released by rock band The Static Shift, claiming they had “an exclusive sneak peek”.
However it turns out the footage was just a shorter version of the main trailer, which was released two months ago.
Naturally Marvel fans were anything but happy about this.
One fan complained: “So not only did you not give us new content, you shortened the content we already had.”
Another said: “Like I’m trying to calm down but I can’t. The nerve.”
While one added: “Exclusive sneak peek? Don’t you know that’s on YouTube?”
Another pointed out: ”Exclusive sneak peek” a minute and 30 second cut of the same trailer that’s been out for over a month is not exclusive… What a waste.”
Nevertheless, the Super Bowl takes place on February 4, so it’s likely the second trailer will drop then.
Avengers: Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018, while Avengers 4 will follow on April 26, 2019.
