Weight loss: Former chef dropped NINE stone through swapping daily takeaways for lean meat

Former chef Danny Brown, 35, from Leicestershire, dropped nine stone through eating lean meat and weight lifting. 

After piling on weight, Danny was 25 stone with a 56 inch waist at his largest, thanks to a diet of takeaways.

But he managed to lose a huge nine stone through filling up on lean meat from Muscle Food and starting an exercise regime. 

He began his weight loss journey after doctors told him his obese body was affecting his fertility.

“I had always dreamed of being a Dad but it just wasn’t happening. I never thought for one moment that it could be my weight that was stopping us.”

“So, when doctors told me I needed to lose at least five stone I was shocked. I knew something needed to change fast so I looked at my bad habits and tossed the takeaway menus in the bin.

“It wasn’t easy at first but I discovered weight lifting and it was so rewarding when the weight began to drop off.

“When I was 25 stone I never thought I would be able to lose nine stone but take it day by day, week by week, change the bad habits for good ones, and you can achieve anything. If I can do it you can too. And the rewards are so worth it.”

“I quit my job due to the stressful kitchen environment and took on a position as a van driver which meant I was inactive for most of the day. 

“It also meant I was eating a lot on the go for convenience.

 A typical day’s food would consist of two bacon rolls for breakfast, a KFC from a motorway service station for lunch and a Chinese from a pub takeaway next door, I’d often down two pints waiting for my order.

He now feels much better after his weight loss, and said he has a lot more energy. 

 “Besides the increase in my fertility, I felt the physical and mental benefits that came with the healthier lifestyle and had so much energy and generally felt happier day to day.”

Another woman who lost weight through eating more meat on a weight loss keto diet was revealed earlier this week.

Alexa Fears, 34, who works in marketing, has credited a special high fat diet with transforming her from a morbidly obese 23 stone to a slender size 12.

Estimating that she weighed around 23 stone, Alexa shopped in specialist shops. However, the keto diet, or ketogenic diet, which involves following a low carb regimen, helped her lose 10 stone.

She has also taken up fitness – running 2.5km once a week and weight training twice a week.
