Pokemon Go Gen 3 release news CONFIRMED: New list of 23 Pokemon going LIVE

The new Pokemon Go news was confirmed today by Niantic, who also posted a picture showing some of the new list.

And from that image, fans have put together a quick list of which new Pokemon will be available to catch.

They’ve done this by looking at the new Gen 3 Pokemon covered in the announcement, and then proceed to add evolutions and variants.

The Pokemon Go fan-list includes: Cacnea, Cacturne, Numel, Camerupt, Aron, Lairon, Aggron, Trapinch, Vibrava, Flygon,, Whismur, Loudred, Exploud, Solrock and Lunatune.

“Looks desert themed so I would guess what’s pictured along with the fossils,” One fans wrote online.

“That only leaves 4 more slots. so maybe baltoy/claydol and then another duo (not metagross).”

Here’s more from Niantic: “Starting later today, 23 additional Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region in the Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire video games will begin appearing in Pokémon GO for the very first time.

“As you’re out adventuring with friends and family and exploring your local neighborhoods, be sure to share your favorite moments and photos using #PokemonGO on your social media channels.”

The image posted by Niantic also includes Kyogre, who just so happens to be this month’s big Legendary catch.

He’s available until February 14 and it seems unlikely that he’ll be part of the new Pokemon that will be available to catch in the wild.

It’s currently unknown when these new Pokemon will be released into the wild, Niantic have now provided a time for launch.

However, based on how other events have been rolled out, the new Pokemon Go Gen 3 release could start happening around 9pm, GMT.

Pokemon Go developer Niantic also recently announced the second Community Day event.

Niantic has confirmed that the next Community Day will take place on February 24 from 10am UK time until 1pm GMT.

The three hour event will focus on Dratini, although it’s unclear what its exclusive move will be.

Players will earn three times the amount of Stardust for the duration of the event, while Lures will last for all 3 hours.

If the first Community event is anything to go by, Dratini could get a Shiny variant.

It’s also useful if you want to evolve your Dratini into Dragonair and the powerful Dragonite.

Fans can keep up to date with the monthly Pokemon Go events by bookmarking the brand new Community Day page.

“Get out and play together in your local community parks on Pokemon GO Community Day,” reads a Niantic post.

“For just a few hours each month, you can encounter a special Pokemon in the wild.

“During these hours, there’s a chance to learn a previously unavailable move for that Pokemon, as well as earn some Community Day bonuses.
