Using the YouTube live stream below, watch the first batch of contenders being revealed at 1:22pm (UK), or 5:22am PT.

The noms will be announced by Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip) and Andy Serkis (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), with a string of special guests.

A handful of Oscars categories will be announced straight off the bat, and a second phase will be announced at 1:38pm after a short break.

It was confirmed yesterday that the special guests who will join Haddish and Serkis are Priyanka Chopra, Rosario Dawson, Gal Gadot, Salma Hayek Pinault, Michelle Rodriguez, Zoe Saldana, Molly Shannon, Rebel Wilson and Michelle Yeoh.

This year’s Oscars will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, live from the Dolby Theatre in LA on Sunday, March 4.

The frontrunner to look out for is Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri; whilst the likes of The Shape of Water and Darkest Hour.

Sunday’s SAG Awards are likely to have given a strong indication of who will win the big acting awards: Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour) and Frances McDormand (Three Billboards) being the most likely.

In the Supporting fields, Sam Rockwell (Three Billboards) and Allison Janney (I, Tonya) are the ones to beat.

It’ll be a crucial ceremony in terms of the Me Too movement as well – the first Oscars to take place after the huge scandal around the likes of Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey.

Whether or not the likes of James Franco – currently under fire of sexual harassment allegations – will be nominated today for his work in Disaster Artist remains to be seen.
