The new Destiny 2 Faction Rally Winner has been crowned today, following a week of competition from the clans on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
It has now been confirmed by the development team that New Monarchy were able to score the most points to finish top.
This means that they will get access to the new Destiny 2 Faction Rally weapon for a much lower price than everyone else.
Those on the winning side can buy it for 1,000 Glimmer, while everyone else has to cough-up 50,000.
FACTION RALLY WEAPONS:
- Dead Orbit is offering the Hollow Earth Legendary Auto Rifle
- Future War Cult has The Doubt Legendary Auto Rifle available
- New Monarchy have the Logquitor IV up for grabs.
Unlike in the past, each Faction will offer the same type of weapon, rather than differing loadouts.
Other unlocks are also available from the Faction you join, including armour rewards and base gear engrams.
During a Faction Rally, players may pledge to one of these Factions to gather supplies and destroy enemy resources.
Tokens are the name of the game, with the side with the most getting a big reward following the end of the Rally.
During a Faction Rally, players will only be able to pledge to one faction per character.
Each faction offers a powerful weapon, but only the winning faction’s weapon will be made available to players.
It should also be noted that this is the time for the Destiny 2 reset, meaning that all the usual events will be changing over around the sametime too.
This will include the following resets: Weekly Nightfall Strike, New Flashpoint destination, Personal Clan XP, New Treasure Maps, as well as Leviathan Raid Keys and progress.
This should be rolling out right now, although there are reports of server issues affecting the PS4 console.
EARNING FACTION REPUTATION AND REWARDS
- During the Faction Rally event, players can complete a variety of activities to earn reputation tokens for their pledged Faction, including
- Daily Faction Rally Milestone
- Completing Public Events in any Destination
- Opening Lost Sector chests
- Quickplay or Competitive Crucible 
- Trials of the Nine
- Strikes
- Nightfall
- Raid

- Faction reputation tokens can be turned in to the associated Faction vendor to receive Faction Engrams.
- Faction Engrams can decrypt into Faction-themed Legendary Armor and Weapons, as well as some cosmetic items.
- Players will still be able to turn in the Faction reputation tokens during the week after the Faction Rally event.
- Once the Faction pledge buff expires, player will no longer be able to turn in Faction reputation tokens to their vendor.
