SAG Awards 2018 WORST dressed: Did Kate Hudson and these other stars miss the mark?

The SAG Awards is taking place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and the awards ceremony has been deemed a celebration of women.

Kristen Bell, 37, who has starred in films such as Frozen and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, is the first person to ever host the SAG awards, and all awards handed out on the night will also be by female presenters.

The decision to have a female host, as well as all-female presenters, comes at a time when the entertainment industry has seen multiple sexual harassment scandals.

While the Golden Globe Awards saw stars dress up in black to support anti-harassment group Time’s Up, the SAG Awards has been actors and actresses in an array of colour and lots of sparkle.

But some stars didn’t quite hit the red carpet mark, and showed up in some bizarre outfits.

Kate Hudson, 38, famous for her roles in films such as How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and You, Me and Dupree, opted for a pink Valentino dress, but her choice of gown didn’t seem to impress.

The dress was baby pink and featured a black heart print.

A black bow at the waist accentuated her slim waistline but tiers of ruffles int he skirt hid the rest of Kate’s slender frame.

A black lace neckline and collar also seemed misplaced with he rest of the dress.

Margot Robbie, 27, known for her acting roles in The Legend of Tarzan and Suicide Squad, is usually awarded for her fashion choices.

While the pale pink colour of the dress and its crystal detailing perfectly complimented her skin tone, the feather waistline appeared out of place.

But feathers seemed to be one of the style themes of the night, with Orange is the New Black star Jackie Cruz’s choice of gown.

The skirt of the dress swamped her small frame and the ombre purple feathers looked bizarre.

Allison Janney, 58, was awarded Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for ‘I, Tonya’, but the exaggerated shoulders on her dress may have caught her attention for the wrong reasons.

Others that appeared to miss the mark on the red carpet included singer Kate Nash and Australian actress and TV presenter Renee Bargh.

Host Kristen Bell stunned in a J.Mendel resort 2018 dress, which was strapless and adorned with beaded flowers.
