Real Madrid star Gareth Bale will join Man Utd if Jose Mourinho changes one thing

Manchester United continue to be linked with Real Madrid forward Bale despite the imminent signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.

The Red Devils are set to add more big-name players to their squad at the end of the current campaign in order to ensure they challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title next season.

What works in their favour is that Real Madrid, despite thumping Deportivo 7-1 at the weekend, are likely to overhaul their entire attack at the end of the season.

Yet Diario Gol claim United will only land Bale if they change their current stance, with Jose Mourinho’s side reluctant to meet Real’s £80million asking price.

Bale’s stock has fallen drastically over the last 18 months.

Injuries have seen him struggle for game time with the Wales international regularly on the sidelines over in Spain.

Despite helping Los Blancos win the Champions League three times in the last four years, he is also yet to fully win round fans of the La Liga giants.

But Diario Gol say a move to United will only happen should they change their mind, with Mourinho only willing to pay £50m to bring the player back to England.

Meanwhile, former United star Ryan Giggs will manage Bale with Wales after getting the job earlier this month.

And the 44-year-old has pledged to help bring Bale’s injury woes to an end.

“It’s about passing on the knowledge you gained as a player,” said Giggs.

“Everyone wants a fit Gareth Bale and a fit Welsh team so you have your best players to pick from.

“I played at a club where often training was harder than games, so come Saturday it was easy.

“That’s the sort of environment I want to create where you find the game relatively easy because training is so difficult.”
