Melania Trump gushes over ‘great’ year as First Lady – but does NOT mention Donald Trump

Melania Trump, 47, looked back on the “wonderful moments” of her first year as First Lady on the anniversary of the inauguration of Donald Trump, 71.

In post which has so far received 121,000 likes, Melania wrote: “This has been a year filled with many wonderful moments.

“I’ve enjoyed the people I’ve been lucky enough to meet throughout our great country & the world!”

But it was not just in the caption the mum-of-one failed to mention her husband.

The picture she chose was not one of the many of herself and Donald on the day or throughout their first year together.

Instead, Melania chose a picture of herself smiling as she held on to the arm of a dashing army officer.

In a hint of things to come, Melania looked chic in a blue skirt suit and matching gloves.

The outfit, which was compared to the style of former First Lady Jackie Kennedy, showed off Melania’s fashionable taste which has seen her become one of the most photographed women in the world.

She paired the skirt suit with a pair of drop earrings and a swept up chignon.

One year on from the inauguration, a body language expert has analysed the footage of Donald and Melania on the day.

Author and body language expert Judi James analysed the couple on their inauguration, and claimed there were hidden clues as to how the pair would handle the presidency.

She said: “Looking back at Donald and Melania’s inauguration body language a year down the line allows us a clearer view without the filter of the comparison of the body language of the outgoing POTUS and his FLOTUS.”

Melania stood by Donald’s side as he took the oath of office, looking the model first lady in blue Ralph Lauren.

The couple were snapped in a solemn pose, which Judi said “would have been puzzling on the day”.

She said: “Both their expressions are dour and the way Trump face-checks his wife suggests he’s concerned that she’s not happy. The hand-hold is less about affection and more about reassurance or even rallying someone.

“There have been recent assertions that Melania was shocked and worried when her husband won the election and this act of what looks like concern from Trump might fit with that suggestion.”
