The first Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC will be launching on January 23, 2018.
Tomorrow will see the The Hidden Ones downloadable content go live on all platforms, to both Season Pass owners and those who want to buy the expansion separately.
Ubisoft haven’t announced set times for when The Hiddens Ones will go live, however, it’s expected that it will be a staggered launch.
This will mean that each platform will get at a different time, which is what Ubisoft does for most of their other games.
In the past, Xbox One fans are usually the first to grab content, followed by PS4 and PC.
Hopefully Ubisoft will provide more information on the subject so that all AC Origins players can prepare for launch.
The Hidden Ones download size is expected to be around 7-9GB, depending on which platform you’re on.
Assassin’s Creed Origins – The Hidden Ones is a story expansion which takes place around four year after the events in the base game.
It features the Brotherhood clashing with occupying Roman force in a new region of the world, the Sinai.
Ubisoft have confirmed that this expansion will increase the level cap to 45, allowing players to continue to upgrade and customise their character.
Players will have access to four new Legendary weapons, a new outfit, two new mounts and multiple new weapons, as well as two new levels for all crafted gear.
A new trailer was released today, showcasing the new story and also teasing some of the new event in DLC 1.
For those not interested in the new DLC, Ubisoft have confirmed plans on launching some new free content.
Discovery Tour by Assassin’s Creed: Ancient Egypt is a new educational mode of the game that will let players choose between free roaming the world of Ancient Egypt.
“People can discover and explore a world free of conflict, time pressure or gameplay constraints, where storyline and quests are not active and the world of Ancient Egypt evolves into a combat-free living museum,” Ubisoft explains.
Discovery Tour will be available as a free update for all Assassin’s Creed Origins owners and will also be available for purchase separately on Uplay and Steam for Windows PC on February 20th, 2018.
Following the Discovery Tour, Ubisoft plans to launch DLC 2 – The Curse of the Pharaohs.
This new expansion offers players a completely new storyline to delve into as they travel to Thebes to investigate an ancient curse that is plaguing the region.
DLC 2 will be available for season pass owners, or can be purchased separately, on March 6th, 2018.
