Sarah Ferguson: Duchess of York had THIS famous royal as a bridesmaid on her wedding day

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, 58, married Prince Andrew, 57, in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey on 23h July 1986.

But who were Sarah Ferguson’s bridesmaids? The Duchess of York and Prince Andrew chose to have flower girls as their bridesmaids for the royal family wedding. 

The flower girls were all under the age of ten, and included Zara Phillips, now Zara Tindall, 36, who is the second eldest grandchild of the Queen

Zara, who is also a niece to Prince Andrew, was aged 6 when she walked as a flower girl for the pair.

Zara is pictured standing in front of Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York as they shared their first kiss as man and wife on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

The other bridesmaids included Alice Ferguson, then 6, the half sister of the bride, and Laura Fellowes, then 6, a niece of Princess Diana.

Lady Rosanagh Innes-Ker, then 7, the daughter of Guy Innes-Ker, 10th Duke of Roxburghe, was also a bridesmaid. 

The pair also had a number of page boys, include Andrew Ferguson, the half brother of the bride, then aged 8, and Zara Tindall’s brother, Peter Phillips, who was also 8 years old at the time.

The best man at the wedding was Prince Edward, the younger brother of Prince Andrew. 

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, was also a close friend of the late Princess Diana, mother of Prince William and Prince Harry.

She was also introduced to Prince Andrew by her friend Princess Diana, but the pair divorced in 1996.

But where is Prince Andrew’s ex wife now? Sarah Ferguson has had an interesting career since her divorce from Prince Andrew.

This career includes an eleven-year endorsement with Weight Watchers.

She has also worked with Wedgwood, a British fine china and porcelain company and cosmetics company Avon.

She has courted the media on various occasions and appeared in a reality TV show for ITV titled The Duchess on the Estate joining families on a council estate in Manchester. This was followed by The Duchess in Hull.

Sarah has also been a guest editor on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and contributed in BBC Radio 2.
