Trump back on campaign trail in ‘excellent health’, thanks to ‘incredible genes’

, 71, had been under scrutiny after a controversial new book on the President claimed senior aides believed he may be suffering from dementia.

But Ronny Jackson, physician to the President, announced that a thorough examination revealed he “does not have dementia and is in excellent health overall”.

Dr Johnson said the President was “mentally very sharp” and benefited from “incredible genes”.

The report did reveal he is technically overweight and takes pills to prevent baldness and reddening of the face.

His height of 6ft 3in and weight of 239lb gives him a Body Mass Index of 29.9 – putting him in the overweight category of 25-30.

However, cynics claimed the report had underestimated his weight and overestimated his height, to give him a lower BMI figure.

One tweeted his driving licence with the height 6ft 2in visible.

James Gunn, director of movie Guardians of the Galaxy, tweeted: “I will give $100,000 to Trump’s favourite charity if he will step on an accurate scale with an impartial medical professional.”

Dr Jackson’s only criticism was that Mr Trump – who enjoys fast food and plays golf for exercise – would benefit from a better diet.

“We discussed diet, exercise and weight loss,” he said.

“He would benefit from a diet which is lower in fat and carbohydrates and a routine exercise regimen.

“I told the President that if he had a healthier diet he might live to be 200. He has incredible genes I just assume. The President is mentally very sharp, very intact.”
