Nintendo Switch games news: Switch Mini, AR camera, Amiibo toys-to-life to be REVEALED?

Nintendo Switch fans will definitely want to tune in to the latest Direct presentation by Nintendo.

Fresh off the back of last week’s Nintendo Direct Mini, the company is making another major announcement for the Switch.

The Nintendo website describes it as a brand new interactive experience for the hybrid console.

This experience is specifically designed for kids and “those who are kids at heart”.

You can tune in to the big Nintendo Switch announcement at 10pm UK time later tonight (January 17).

“Tune in to discover a new interactive experience for Nintendo Switch that’s specially crafted for kids and those who are kids at heart,” reads a Nintendo post.

It’s possible Nintendo could announce a brand new Switch Mini, or maybe a toys to life experience featuring Amiibo figurines.

It could even be some kind of AR or VR device, although Nintendo has played down virtual reality support in the past.

The biggest news to come from the last Nintendo Direct is that Dark Souls Remastered is coming to Nintendo Switch.

According to Nintendo, the Remastered release will include the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, as well as an improved frame-rate and resolution.

It’s also been announced for PS4 and Xbox One.

It was also revealed that Dark Souls Remastered would have a May 25 release date.

Mario Tennis Aces was also announced, alongside The World Ends With You Final Remix and ports of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Hyrule Warriors.

During the  it was also revealed that Super Mario Odyssey would be getting new content as part of a free update.

This includes a brand new Balloon World mini game, which tasks one player with hiding a balloon while another tries to find it.

The update will also adds new filters for the snapshot mode, as well as new outfits for Mario.

One of the outfits is themed after Super Mario Sunshine, which was released on Gamecube back in 2002.
