Avengers 4 devastation: ‘I WON’T play Thor again’ Chris Hemsworth said WHAT?

Hemsworth has made no secret of how much he enjoyed being part of Thor Ragnarok.

Just last week he was talking about how he and director Taika Waititi had been tossing around new ideas for another movie.

So why did he just tell USA Today: “I’m done. I won’t be playing the character again”?

That sounds pretty definitive.

There is already a list of superheroes fans feel ae likley to be killed by Thanos in Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4.

Iron Man, Captain America, Loki, Vision and Hawkeye are the main favourites. Not Thor.

Hemwsworth, like veterans Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans is at the end of his original Marvel contact, but these can always be renegotiated, so why say he would never play Thor again?

The actor added: “It’s sort of a scary thought. This really seems like this never-ending thing. And now it’s potentially finishing.”

The word ‘potentially’ may give fans hope. That and his parting comments that he had recently asked Marvel president Kevin Feige about future plans for Thor and was told:  “Look, we just have to concentrate on (Avengers) now.”

This certainly suddenly sounds a tiny bit more hopeful than the initial “never again” declaration.

Perhaps he has been learning some drama queen tricks from his on-screen broother, Loki?

Avengers Infinity war is out on April 27
