FIFA 18 TOTY revealed, as EA Sports launches MAJOR new feature

EA Sports has revealed the first wave of TOTY cards and players.

The FIFA 18 TOTY attackers will be available for 24 hours from 6pm UK time.

And it’s good news for Tottenham Hotspur fans, as Harry Kane makes the TOTY for the first time with a 96 rating.

The Spurs striker is joined by TOTY regulars Cristiano Ronaldo with 99 and Lionel Messi on 98.

“Cristiano  Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Harry Kane are the #FUT 18 #TOTY Attackers! Available today for 24hrs from 6pm UK,” reads an EA Sports blog post.

It’s unclear when the next wave of TOTY players will be announced, so stay tuned for more information. Midfielders will likely be next, so check out the gallery for a look at the nominees.

The news comes as EA Sports reveals a major new FIFA 18 initiative in the US.

EA Sports is teaming with Major League Soccer to launch a FIFA 18 eSports league.

A total of 19 out of 23 MLS teams will be represented by professional FIFA 18 players in the eMLS.

The teams include Chicago Fire, Colorado Rapids, Columbus Crew SC, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, LA Galaxy, Minnesota United FC, Montreal Impact, New England Revolution, New York City FC and New York Red Bulls.

That’s on top of Orlando City SC, Philadelphia Union, Portland Timbers, San Jose Earthquakes, Seattle Sounders FC, Sporting Kansas City, Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

Each team will select a player to represent them at the eMLS Cup during PAX East in April.

Winners will then compete in the EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Global Series, which will be followed by the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018 in August.

MLS spokesperson Gary Stevenson told Polygon: “This step forward into competitive gaming is a key component in our partnership with EA Sports to promote deeper engagement and connections between MLS supporters and the millions of FIFA players around the world.”
