There was mass panic as rescuers rushed to save the passengers after the boat caught fire on Sunday in a waterway off the west coast of Florida.
Authorities said 50 people were rescued from a Sun Cruz Casino boat that caught fire near Port Richey, Florida, according to Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
The office said the fire took place 100 metres off-shore and at one point there were more than 40 people in the water, but they have been since pulled out of the water and treated by officials, the office said.
A video posted on Twitter shows the boat engulfed in flames.
