Avengers Infinity War: Chris Evans teases epic blockbuster – ‘Marvel doesn’t miss’

The Captain America star said “Marvel doesn’t miss” as he discussed the upcoming blockbuster at Ace Comic Con yesterday.

Per ComicBook.com, he said that filming the upcoming movie was the first time he felt like a true player in the midst of the action, thanks in part to the massive ensemble around him.

“That was the best part of this movie… The first few movies it’s almost like it’s happening to somebody else,” he explained.

“You kind of feel like you’re watching it happen, but you’re not actually a part of it.

“This was kind of the first movie where you actually felt like you had a seat at the table and you belonged and it was so nice to have all these other franchises that you’ve watched and admired come to a set where you’re like, ‘oh man, I belong here, and all these great people are part of a movie that we’re all doing together’.

“And it was just wonderful because all of those franchises, well, let’s be honest. Marvel doesn’t miss.

“They haven’t missed yet. They’re batting a thousand.”

Indeed, the Avengers themselves – with whom Chris has worked before – will be meeting the Guardians of the Galaxy in this film, as well as – according to rumours, at least – supporting players from other heroes’ standalone movies.

Infinity War and its follow-up – for now referred to simply as Avengers 4 – officially wrapped up filming this week.

For many MCU favourites, the movies are expected to mark their final appearances before being written out or killed off at the hands of Thanos (Josh Brolin).

Avengers: Infinity War is out on April 27 in the UK.
