Samsung Galaxy S9 release date and full specs leaked? This new image may reveal all

Those wanting to upgrade to the new haven’t got long to wait.

This new device looks set to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month.

will take place at MWC although there’s not yet an exact day or time when this device will be shown to the world.

Plenty of excitement surrounds the S9 with it expected to bring a number of advancements over the current award-winning S8.

New processor, improved photography and an updated position for the fingerprint scanner are all rumoured along with the inclusion of a dual-lens rear snapper on the larger S9+ model.

These updates are all speculation but a new image that has appeared online may give fans of this device their best look yet at what’s to come.

The photo – placed on Imgur – claims to show the box that the S9 will ship in when it finally goes on sale.

Printed on the side of this packing are a full list of specs which reveal what could be tucked inside this latest flagship.

If true, it appears the S9 will feature a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display which will keep Samsung’s trademark curved design.

Other specs include a Super Speed Dual Pixel camera with Super Slow-mo mode, an 8-megapixel selfie snapper and an Iris Scanner.

Owners could also be treated to speakers and headphones tuned by AKG and 64GB of internal memory.

Finally the box reveals that, like most Samsung phones, the S9 will be water resistant and be able to charge wirelessly via a Qi charging pad.

Sadly, the image doesn’t reveal what processor will be powering the S9.

Rumours suggest that Samsung may include different chips depending on the region where the phone is purchased.

Some devices look set to get the new Qualcomm 845 processor whilst others will ship with Samsung’s own Exynos brains.

Which ever processor brings the S9 its power, this device looks set to be the fastest and most efficient Galaxy to date.
