Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in foul-mouthed rant at Chelsea star Alvaro Morata

Arsenal held Chelsea to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final at Stamford Bridge but Arsene Wenger had to watch on from the stands.

The Gunners boss is currently serving a three-match ban by the FA for comments he made about referees.

And it seems the Frenchman hasn’t learned his lesson, with suggestions he was unhappy with referee Martin Atkinson and CHelsea forward Morata frustrating him.

WHY WAS ARSENE WENGER IN THE PRESS BOX AT CHELSEA VS ARSENAL?

The Daily Mail claim Wenger was overheard saying: “Every time he [Alvaro Morata] goes down it’s a f****** free-kick!” as he studied the game among journalists.

Despite taking in the match from an unsual viewing spot for the veteran boss, Wenger admitted after the match it was an ‘interesting’ experience.

“I must say you’re well treated,” he joked. “You have the best places in the stadium but you cannot complain.

“It was frustrating but the position was quite interesting because I was close to the bench and not too far high up. That’s where I like to be.”

Wenger could be in the press box once again when Arsenal take on Bournemouth this weekend.

He will serve the final suspension of his three-match ban at the Vitality Stadium, although it is not known where he will sit for the match.

Arsenal currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, two points behind fifth-placed Tottenham.
