Sunday January 7

Hazard on contract

10:10: Chelsea star Eden Hazard says he will sign a new contract if team-mate Thibaut Courtois pens a new deal first.

“I will answer you the same as Thibaut,” Hazard told French media.

“First, he must sign, then I will be able to continue. I do not know who will be the first to sign his new contract.

“It’s a secret…”

His comments come after Courtois recently urged Hazard to pen a new deal with the Blues.

Balague on Coutinho

09:20: Nothing was going to put Philippe Coutinho off a move to Barcelona – not even Liverpool signing Virgil van Dijk.

That’s according to La Liga transfer expert Guillem Balague, who revealed all on Tiempo de Juego.

“Since [the] summer, Coutinho has told Liverpool and his companions that playing in Barcelona was his dream,” he said.

“The signing of Van Dijk has not influenced [him].

“In principle, Liverpool, will not seek a replacement for the Brazilian.”

Liverpool line up THREE goalkeepers

07:00: Liverpool have already put plans in place to spend the money from Philippe Coutinho’s transfer to Barcelona on a new goalkeeper, according to reports.

Many pundits and former professionals believe Liverpool are in dire need of signing a world-class goalkeeper with Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius under increasing pressure.

And The Independent claim Liverpool have drawn up a list of three potential targets.

Jan Oblak reportedly heads the list but he could be slightly out of their price range with a release clause of £100million.

Allison has attracted interest from all over Europe while Jack Butland is also touted as a possible target.

Liverpool do NOT want to sign Lemar

06:30: Guillem Balague has claimed Liverpool are not seeking a move for Thomas Lemar.

Liverpool announced yesterday they had agreed a deal worth £142million to let Philippe Coutinho join Barcelona.

Liverpool will receive £102m up front with another £40m depending on performance-based add-ons.

And the Reds are under pressure from fans already to reinvest that money into bringing in an adequate replacement.

However, Balague has insisted the Merseyside outfit were NEVER considering a bid for Lemar.

“Liverpool are not looking actively for a replacement,” Balague said on his YouTube channel.

“Thomas Lemar is not someone they’ve shown interest in – not even in the summer.”

Chelsea target THREE to replace Eden Hazard

06:00: Chelsea have reportedly drawn up a wishlist of three players they want to sign should Eden Hazard complete a transfer to Real Madrid in the summer.

Hazard has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu with Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez both admirers of the winger.

El Gol Digital claim the La Liga giants would have to pay close to £132million to tempt Chelsea into selling.

And they go on to say the Blues have already made plans to reinvest that money back into the squad.

Chelsea will reportedly go after the signings of Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams, Villareal’s Manu Trigueros and Barcelona’s Samuel Umtiti.

Real Madrid line up Jurgen Klopp move

05:30: Liverpool have already lost Philippe Coutinho to La Liga and Jurgen Klopp could follow him to Spain at the end of the season or in 2019, according to reports.

Shock reports from Spain have suggested the club could lose Klopp to Barcelona’s La Liga rivals Real Madrid.

That’s according to Mi Otra Liga, who claim Florentino Perez has named Klopp as his No 1 target to replace Zinedine Zidane.

The Real boss is said to be under no immediate pressure at the Bernabeu.

But with Barcelona already 14 points clear in the league and a tough Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain in the next round, there is concern at Real they could finish the season trophyless.

And the report suggests Perez is hoping to reach an agreement with Klopp to become Zidane’s successor either this summer or in a years’ time.

United and Arsenal battle for Fred

05:00: Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly the frontrunners to sign Shakhtar Donetsk star Fred this month.

Arsenal have already made one signing in the January transfer window with the £2million capture of Greek defender Konstantinos Mavrapons, although he won’t formally join until the summer.

Jose Mourinho meanwhile, is expected to be handed with a significant transfer kitty to make new signings.

A striker and a defender are high on the list of priorities, with Malcom and Danny Rose among the targets.

But according to the Star on Sunday, Donetsk attacking midfielder Fred is being monitored.

The report suggests United and Arsenal have signalled the most interest from the Premier League.
