Forget the Sony Xperia XZ2, these new Sony smartphones have LEAKED online

Sony Xperia fans could be in store for some big treats in 2018.

The Japanese tech giant looks set to release a swathe of new devices in the next few months.

Sony’s last flagship, the Xperia XZ1, was launched back in August at the IFA technology show and was widely regarded as modest update.

And fans are gearing up for the release of its successor, the Xperia XZ2, which is rumoured to feature a radical design shake-up.

The device is expected to take a leaf out of the iPhone X and Galaxy S8’s book and feature a screen which covers 90 per cent of the front of the phone.

These rumours come after alleged leaked pictures of Xperia devices with giant screens appeared online ahead of CES 2018.

And now more leaked pictures of Sony Xperia devices have been published, giving a flavour of what’s in store for fans in 2018.

Reliable tech tipster @OnLeaks has published renders on Twitter of two upcoming Sony Xperia devices.

The first is the Xperia L2, which has the look of a more conventional Sony smartphone.

The leaked pictures show the device with the chunky bezels at the top and bottom that Sony smartphones are known for.

The Xperia L2 will feature a 5.5inch screen, 4GB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, according to CompareRaja.

The leaked pictures show Sony bucking the trend of the dual camera set-up with the Xperia L2, with it instead featuring a single camera on the rear.

It’s expected that the Sony Xperia L2 will make its official debut at CES 2018, which starts next week.

The second phone @OnLeaks leaked were renders for the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra.

The devices once again feature chunky bezels at the top and bottom, with the XA2 boasting a five inch display and the XA2 Ultra featuring a six inch display.

In terms of processing power, the XA2 Ultra is expected to boast a Snapdragon 830 octo core chip and have 4GB of RAM, according to Tiger Mobiles.

One of the big selling points for the Sony Xperia XA2 is rumoured to be the cameras.

It’s believed the XA2 Ultra will feature a 21MP rear camera and a 15MP front cameras.

It remains to be seen if any of these new Xperia phones debut at CES 2018, which kicks off next week, or the Mobile World Congress in February.
