Avengers Infinity War shock: The END for THIS Guardian of the Galaxy?

Infinity War will finally hit cinemas in just a few months. Fans are bracing themselves for some potentially devastating losses.

The directors, The Russo brothers, have warned that some heroes could pay the ultimate price and the main trailer already hinted at the deaths of more than one hugely popular and iconic superhero.

A new Marvel release has just revealed the dramatic exit of one fan favourite.

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS

It looks like Drax the Destroyer has quit The Guardians of the Galaxy in the source material.

The latest issue of the comicbook series, #150, is out today in the US but on January 5 in the UK.  Marvel already announced that this will be the last in the current iconic series. The Guardians will continue their adventures in the new Infinity Countdown series.

The action-packed finale reintroduces Adam Warlock (also teased in the Guardians 2 movie end credits scene) and sees one of the core members leave the team when Drax dramatically tells his teammates that he no longer wants to rampage across the galaxy.

According to , in the comicbook finale, Drax takes a quiet retirement. Or so he thinks.

Star Lord entrust him with the Power Stone, but the comic also reveals that some of the galaxy’s greatest villains have been told where he will be hiding with his precious charge.

Of course, teh movies have been following a separate path, but still interlinked with the source comicbooks.

Fans don’t want anyone to die in the upcoming movie an it is certainly nice to think of poor Drax, still tortured by the loss of his gamily, finally finding some peace.
