While not a global outage, it appears that quite a few users are reporting Snapchat not working tonight.
It comes as people have been trying to celebrate NYE 2017, a busy time for messenger services.
“I can’t see my messages please Snapchat fix this!” one affected user wrote.
While another added: “My Snapchat isn’t working right, I get messages 20 minutes after they’re sent and my messages are sending in the wrong order. What’s going on?”
The latest on Snapchat being down is that the support team are looking to fix the problems tonight, although no times have been given for the service going back online.
“Some Snapchatters are having trouble with the app,” a Snapchat support message reads.
“We recommend staying logged into your account while we look into this.”
And Snapchat hasn’t been the only messenger services affected by a surge of activity tonight.
Both Kik and Whatsapp have see their own outages tonight, although for differing lengths of time.
